Watch Strap Sizing Guide
Finding the perfect watch strap size is crucial for both comfort and style. Here's how you can easily find the right width and length for your watch.
The strap width of your watch
Use a Ruler - The most accurate way to measure your strap width is by using a ruler to measure the distance between the strap retaining lugs of your watch. This distance is also known as the lug width.
Common lug widths: - Popular watches often have lug widths of 18mm, 20mm, or 22mm. For example, many Rolex models use a 20mm lug width. Watches with even numbered lug widths (20 or 22mm for example) are far easier to find a strap for the odd sized ones. (19mm for example).

Determine the Strap Length
Measure Your Current Strap - This is by far the easiest method. (And most obvious I suppose): If you have a strap that fits well, measure the length of the tail side and buckle side separately. Exclude the buckle itself.
Measure Your Wrist: - Wrap a soft tape measure around your wrist where you want the watch to sit. Use this measurement to find a suitable strap length from the chart below
Strap Length Chart
Wrist Circumference | Suggested Strap Length Dimensions tail end / buckle end |
150 - 164mm (6.0 - 6.5") | 120 / 70mm |
165 - 178mm (6.6 - 7.0") | 125 / 75mm |
179 - 190mm (7.1 - 7.5") | 130 / 80mm |
191 - 203mm (7.6 - 8.0") | 135 / 85mm |
204 - 216mm (8.1 - 8.5") | 140 / 85mm |
217 - 229mm (8.6 - 9.0") | 145 /9 0mm |
Tips for Choosing the Right Strap Size
Style Considerations: Dress watches often pair well with thinner straps, while sports watches look better with thicker straps.
Tapered vs. Straight Straps: Some straps taper from the lugs to the ends, while others remain straight. Consider whether you prefer a tapered or straight design based on your watch style.
Comfort: Ensure the strap is not too tight or too loose. Adjust the length to show the desired amount of tail.
Material: Consider the material's breathability and durability, especially if you plan to wear the watch frequently.
